Section 2

Establishment of a general Registry Office and appointment of Registrar General and sending certified copies of entries of births and deaths to that Office.

(1) The Government— (a) shall establish a general Registry Office for keeping such certified copies of registers of births and deaths registered under 1 the Telangana Registration of Births and Deaths Regulation, 1359F. 2 the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Act, 1955 (II of 1956) or any other law for the time being in force or of marriages registered under the Special Marriage Act (3 of 1872) or the Indian Christian Marriage Act, 1872 or the Parsi Marriage and Divorce Act, 1936 as may be sent to such Office under this Act or under any of the three last mentioned Acts; and (b) shall appoint to the charge of that office an officer to be called the Registrar General of Births, Deaths and Marriages for 3 the area to which this Act extends. (2) Notwithstanding the provisions of any other law for the time being in force true copies certified in the prescribed manner of all entries of births and deaths registered after the commencement of this Act under the Telangana Registration of Births and Deaths Regulation, 1359F. the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Act, 1955 (II of 1956) or under any law for the time being in force shall be sent by the prescribed officer at prescribed intervals to the said registry office as soon as possible after the entries are made.
