Added by Act No.35 of 1995. Punishment for being found in a state of intoxication. Punishment for abetment of escape of persons arrested, etc. 8 [Act No.17 of 1995] (a) unlawfully releases or abets the escape of any person arrested under this Act, or 29[XXX] (b) acts in any manner inconsistent with his duty for the purpose of enabling any person to do anything where by any of the provisions of this Act may be evaded or broken 29[XXX] shall be punished with imprisonment which may extend upto six months or with fine which may extend up to five hundred rupees or with both.
