The Collector, any Prohibition Officer or any Police Officer, 42[not below the rank of a Sub-Inspector] may enter and inspect at any time by day or by night, any place in which it is reasonably suspected,- (a) that any liquor is kept for sale or stored 43[otherwise than in accordance with the provisions of the 44Telangana Excise Act, 1968, and the rules made thereunder]; or (b) that an offence under 42[section 7, section 7A or section 8] is being committed; and may examine, test, measure or weigh any material, still, utensil, implement, apparatus or liquor found in such place.
