In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,- (a) “Academic Council” means the Academic Council of the University; (b) “Agriculture” includes the basic and applied sciences dealing with soil and water management, crop production, veterinary science, home science, horticulture, agricultural engineering and technology, marketing, processing, co-operation, farm forestry, land reforms, land management and betterment of the rural people;
