(1) This Act may be called 2[the Telangana Probation of Offenders Act, 1936.] (2) It extends to the whole of the 3[State of Telangana.] (3) (a) This section shall come into force at once. (b) The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, direct that all or any of the remaining provisions of this Act shall come into force in any local area on such date as may be specified in such notification.
