(1) The Government may, for the administration, of this Act, appoint such persons as it thinks fit and may by Penalty for destruction, injury or removal of survey marks. (2) The Board of Revenue may, by notification in the Official Gazette, invest the Collector with all or any of the powers of the Settlement Commissioner under this Act, and by a like notification invest the Consolidation Officer with all or any of the powers of the Collector under the Act. (3) A Consolidation Officer may, with the sanction of the Board of Revenue, delegate any of his powers or functions under this Act to any person in the service of the Government.
