The provisions of this Act relating to reservation of offices of Sarpanch, President and Chairperson and members of the Gram Panchayats, Mandal Praja Parishads and Zilla Praja Parishads for the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes shall cease to have effect on the expiration of the period specified in article 334 of the Constitution of India.
