For the purpose of reserving the offices of Sarpanch, President and Chairperson and members of the Gram Panchayats, Mandal Praja Parishads and Zilla Praja Parishads to the members belonging to the Backward Classes under this Act, the population figures of the Backward Classes, gathered in the Socio-Economic Survey conducted by the Telangana Backward Classes Co- operative Finance Corporation Limited, Hyderabad shall be taken as the basis.
