Substituted by G.O.Ms.No.5, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development & Fishiries (AH) Department, dated 29.09.2014. 16 [Act No.18 of 2005] (j) three persons nominated by the Chancellor from amongst the progressive farmers in livestock, poultry and fishery sectors of whom one shall be a woman; (k) one person nominated by the Chancellor from amongst the members of the State Veterinary Council; (l) two persons nominated by the Chancellor from among the Industrialists in livestock, poultry and fishery sectors; (3) The Vice-Chancellor shall be ex-officio Chairman of the Board and shall conduct the meetings of the Board in accordance with the statutes made in that behalf. (4) The term of office of Members of the Board other than ex-officio members shall be three years: Provided that no member of the Board who is nominated shall continue to be a member of the Board on his ceasing to hold the office by virtue of which he has been nominated as member of the Board: Provided further that even if some of the members are nominated at different times to the Board under items (f) to (l) of sub-section (2), the term of three years in their case shall be reckoned from the date on which the notification constituting the Board was first issued. (5) The Members of the Board shall be entitled to receive such daily and travelling allowances as may be prescribed but not to any remuneration.
