(1) This Act may be called the 1 Telangana Occupants of Homesteads (Conferment of Ownership) Act, 1976. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of 1 Telangana. (3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 14th August 1975. (4) It shall apply to all local areas of the State, other than those comprised within the jurisdiction of the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad and of any Municipality constituted under the 2 Telangana Municipalities Act, 1965.
