The Selection Committee for the appointment or promotion of a Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor, shall consist of:- (a) the Director; (b) the Secretary to Government, Health, Medical & Family Welfare Department; (c) one external expert in the concerned speciality, nominated by the Director; (d) Dean of the Faculty; (e) one Honorary Medical Consultant to the Institute to be nominated by the Director: Provided that no person shall participate in the meeting of the Selection Committee for any appointment, if he or his near relative is a candidate for that appointment.
