Save as otherwise expressly provided in this Act any person who contravenes any of the provisions of this Act or any rule made thereunder shall, on conviction, be punished with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees, and in case of continued contravention thereof, with an additional fine which may extend to one hundred rupees per day, for every day during which such contravention continues.
