In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context;- 1 [(1) the words and expressions used and not defined in this Act but defined in the Factories Act, 1948 (LXIII of 1948) shall have the meanings assigned to them in that Act;] 2 [(1-A) “Inspector” means an Inspector appointed under sub-section (1) of section 6-A.] (2) “maternity benefit” means the amount of money which an owner of a factory is required to pay in accordance with the provisions of this Act to a woman worker working in a factory.
