Substituted by Act No.1 of 2007. Short title, extent and commencement. Definitions. 2 [Act No.11 of 1983] 4[(ia) has failed to discharge the functions attached to his post;] (ii) was actuated in the discharge of his functions as such public servant by improper or corrupt motive and thereby caused loss to the State or any member or section of the public; or (iii) is guilty of corruption, or lack of integrity in his capacity as such public servant; (c) “competent authority” in relation to a public servant, means,- 5[(d) “corruption” includes anything made punishable under Chapter IX of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 or under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 as amended from time to time;] (e) “Government” means the State Government;
