Substituted for “Taluqdar” by the A.P.A.O. 1957. Produce of land to be deemed as, hypothecated for payment of land revenue. Produce disposed of by sale etc., may be withheld till payment of land revenue. Power of Collector when apprehended that revenue shall not be recoverable. [Act No.VIII of 1317 F.] 53 (b) he may direct that such crop shall not be removed from the land on which it has been reaped, or from the place where it may have been stored, without the written permission of the 146[Collector] or of other officer as aforesaid, (c) he may appoint a watchman, fixing his pay, to watch that the standing crop is not unlawfully reaped or removed without permission. The pay of such watchman shall not exceed five rupees per month, and may be realized as an arrear of land revenue from the land holders; but if the produce could be watched through the village officers a paid watchman shall not be appointed.
