Substituted by G.O.Ms.No.72, Industries and Commerce (FP & MSME) Department, dated 30.09.2015. [Act No. IV of 1959] 3 (x) ‘Village Industries’ means all or any of the industries which form the normal occupation, whether whole time or part time, of any class of the rural population of the State and includes any other industry which the Government may, of their own motion or on the recommendation of the Board, declare by notification to be a village industry for the purposes of this Act; but does not include any of the industries specified in the Schedule to the Industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951 (Central Act 65 of 1951).
