(1) The Vice-Chancellor shall be the whole-time officer of the University and shall be appointed 5[by the Government] in the manner specified in the Schedule-I. (2) The term of office, emoluments and other conditions of service, the powers and functions of the Vice- Chancellor shall be as specified in the Schedule-I.
