(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Act, 1972 or the statutes, ordinances and regulations made thereunder; (a) the constituent colleges of Architecture and Fine Arts in the University area, which are affiliated to the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University immediately before the commencement of this Act, shall be formed into Regulations. Disaffiliation of Architecture and Fine Arts Colleges etc. in the State. [Act No.31 of 2008] 25 and maintained as constituent colleges of the Architecture and Fine Arts University; (b) the colleges of Architecture and Fine Arts in the University area, which are affiliated to or recognized by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, immediately before the commencement of this Act, shall be disaffiliated therefrom and shall be deemed to be affiliated to or recognized by the Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University under this Act and the provisions of this Act shall, as far as may, apply accordingly. (2) On and from the date of commencement of this Act,- (i) the control and management of the colleges specified in sub-section (1); (ii) all the properties, assets and liabilities and the rights and obligations of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in relation thereto; and (iii) all obligations of the Government in relation to the said colleges; shall stand transferred to, vest in, or devolve upon the Architecture and Fine Arts University.
