Where, for safety of an irrigation system in the notified command area and for other technical reasons, it is considered, necessary to take any soil conservation measures, like contour bunding and trenching, in lands adjacent to the lands under the notified command area, the Land Development Officer shall have and exercise all the powers under the Andhra Pradesh (Andhra Area) Land Improvement Schemes (Contour Bunding and Contour Payment of reward informants.
