(1) With effect from such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint in this behalf, there shalt be established for the purposes of this Act an institution to be called the Telangana Institute of the Medical Sciences. The State Government may, on and after the commencement of the Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences Act, 2024, establish by notification in the Official Gazette, such other Telangana Institutes of Medical [Act No.9 Of 2024] 3 Sciences at such places as it may specify in the said notification in addition to the existing Institute. (2) Every Institute shall be a body corporate by the name aforesaid having perpetual succession and a common seal, with power to acquire, hold and dispose of property, both movable and immovable, and to contract, and shall by the said names and be sued.
