(1) The Chairman shall preside over the meetings of the council and shall cause the minutes of such meetings to be recorded in such manner as may be prescribed. He shall keep the records relating to the proceedings of the meetings in his custody. He shall furnish a copy of the proceeding recorded at each meeting to the Chairman of the factory council or enterprise council or to the Chief, Executive or Managing Director, as the case may be, within the prescribed period. (2) In the absence of the Chairman for a period not exceeding one week, the Co-Chairman shall preside over meetings, if any, and shall cause the minutes to be recorded. If the absence of Chairman exceeds one week, the Co-Chairman shall discharge all the functions of the Chairman.
