Whenever any sum is expended by the Commissioner under clauses (e), (f), (g) or (h) of sub-section (2) of section 172, he shall forthwith communicate the circumstances to the Standing Committee, which shall take such action under sub-section (2) of section 191 or recommend the Corporation to take, under section 189 or under sub-section (1) of section 191, such action as shall in the circumstances, appear proper and expedient for covering the amount of the additional expenditure.
