[Act No. 17 of 1968] 49 (2) When any person is accused or is reasonably suspected of committing an offence under this Act, other than an offence under section 34, section 35, section 36, or section 37, 79[section 37A or section 50] and on demand of any such officer as aforesaid, refuses to give his name and residence or gives a name and residence which such officer has reason to believe is false, he may be arrested by such officer in order that his name and residence may be ascertained. 80[53-A.
