(1) The pay and allowances of any employee in a private institution shall be paid on or before such day of every month in such manner and by or through such authority, officer or person as, may be prescribed. (2) The Government shall have power to direct the payment of salaries of all teachers and members of the non- teaching staff in any private aided institution or class of private aided institutions in such manner and through such agency as the Government may, by order, specify. 57[84-A. If the management or manager contravenes, or attempts to contravene, any of the provisions of this chapter or any rule or order made thereunder, it or he shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year and with fine which may extend to five thousand rupees and in the case of continuing contravention, with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years and with fine which may extend to ten thousand rupees, in addition to withdrawal of recognition of the institution.] CHAPTER XV Welfare and code of conduct and rules of conduct of the employees of educational institutions.
