(1) The Collector may enter and inspect, or cause to be entered and inspected by any other officer authorised by him, any immovable property of any work in progress under the control and management of any Board. (2) He may also- (a) call for any extract from the proceedings of the Board or any Committee appointed by such Board, and call for or inspect any book or document in the possession of or under the control of a Board or any officer of the Board or of any Committee, Sub-Committee or Joint Committee; (b) require any Board or any officer of the Board, or a Committee, Sub-Committee or Joint Committee to furnish any return, plan, estimate, statement, account, report or any other information or statistics which he may consider necessary; and Residuary powers of the Board over subordinates. Members, Officers, etc., to be public servants. Power of Collector to inspect and call for documents. 94 [Act No.I of 1956] (c) require a Board to take into its consideration- (i) any objection which appears to him to exist to the doing of anything which is about to be done by such Board, or (ii) any information furnished by him which appears to him to necessitate the doing of a certain thing by such Board and to make a written reply to him, within a reasonable time, stating its reasons for doing or omitting to do such thing.
