Substituted by Act No.21 of 1985. General meetings and committee meetings. 66 [Act No.7 of 1964] should have been held, and it shall be competent for the Registrar, notwithstanding anything in the bye-laws, to call such general meeting in such manner as may be prescribed.] (2) The committee shall call a general meeting of the society within thirty days of the date of receipt of a requisition in writing from- (i) such number of members or proportion of the total number of members, as may be specified in the bye-laws; (ii) the financing bank to which the society is indebted; (iii) a federal society to which the society is affiliated; or (iv) the Registrar. 152[(3) It shall be the duty of the President of the society to call the meetings of the committee so that atleast one meeting of the committee is held in every three months. If the President fails to discharge that duty with the result that no meeting is held, within such period of three months or within one month following such period, he shall with effect from the date of expiration of one month aforesaid cease to be the President. The Registrar shall issue orders to that effect: Provided that it shall also be the duty of the President to call such meetings within fifteen days of the date of receipt of requisition in writing in that behalf from any of the requisitionists specified in sub-section (2).]
