(1) The High Court may, by notification, invest, within such local limits as it shall, from time to time, fix- (i) any District Judge or *[Senior Civil Judge], with the jurisdiction of a Judge of a Court of Small Causes for the trial of suits cognizable by such Courts upto the amount of 28[ten thousand rupees]; (ii) any *[Junior Civil Judge], with like jurisdiction upto the amount of 28[four thousand rupees.] (2) The High Court may, likewise, withdraw the jurisdiction from the District Judge, *[Senior Civil Judge] or *[Junior Civil Judge] so invested.
