Notwithstanding anything in any law, the Commissioner, Additional Commissioner, Regional Joint Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner or Assistant Commissioner shall have power to require any person Cost of proceedings etc., Appointment of specified authority by Government in certain cases. Public Officers to furnish copies or extracts from certain documents. [Act No. 30 of 1987] 117 having custody of any record, register, report or other document relating to a charitable or religious institution or endowment or any movable or immovable property of such institution or endowment, to furnish copies of, or extracts from any such document and every such person shall, on such requisition furnish them.
