Section 38-I

[Acquisition of animals by a zoo

(1) Subject to the other provisions of this Act, no zoo shall acquire, sell or transfer any wild animal or captive animal specified in Schedules I 86A[x x x x] except with the previous permission of the Authority. (2) No zoo shall acquire, sell or transfer any wild or captive animal except from or to a recognised zoo.] 86B[Provided that nothing in this sub-section shall apply to a conservation breeding centre.] Omitted by Act No. 18 OF 2022, dt.20/12/2022 (w.e.f. 01/04/2023).
