Section 6

Disputes regarding properties belonging to trust and endowment.

(1) If any question or dispute arises whether a particular property specified in the list of properties belongs to a trust or endowment, any person interested therein may institute a suit in a Court for the decision of the question or dispute: Provided that no such suit shall be entertained by the Court after the expiry of one year from the date of the publication of the list of properties belonging to trust and endowment. (2) The Survey Officer shall not be made a party to any suit under sub-section (1) and no suit, prosecution or other legal proceeding shall lie against him in respect of anything which is done in good faith or intended to be done in pursuance of this Act or any rules made thereunder. (3) The list of properties belonging to a trust or endowment shall, unless it is modified in pursuance of a decision of the Court under sub-section (1), be final and conclusive.
