After section 34 of the principal Act, the following section shall be inserted, namely: — “34-A. Furnishing of information on property.— Every Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson or Councillor shall, within ninety days from the date on which he makes or subscribes an oath or affirmation for taking his seat, furnish the following information, in such form and manner as may be prescribed:— (a) the movable and immovable properties of which he, his spouse and his dependent children are jointly or severally owners or beneficiaries; (b) his liabilities to any public financial institution; and (c) his liabilities to the Central Government or State Government or to any municipality.”.
