No suit, prosecution or other legal proceeding shall lie against any person for anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done in pursuance of this Act or any rule, order or notification made thereunder. Officers to be deemed public servants 18 .Every officer acting in pursuance of the provisions of this Act or any rule, order or notification made thereunder, shall be deemed to be a public servant within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code (Central Act XLV of 1860).
