(1) Section 8 of the Tamil Nadu General Clauses Pendingprocee- Act, 1891 (Tamil Nadu Act I of 1891) shall not apply dings to abate* to the repeal of the said Act by this Act. etc. (2) Every complaint, investigation or other pro- ceeding made or taken under the said Act before the date of the commencemsnt of this Act and pending on the said date before the Commissicncr of Inquiries or other authority extrcising powcrs under the said Act shall abate. (3) No legal proceeding or remedy in respect of any right, privilege, obligaticn cr liability acquired, accrued or incurred under the said. Act shall be instituted, continued I or enforced under the said Act. I ! (4) No investigation or other proceeding shall be made or taken under the said Act in respect of any criminal misconduct committed under the said Act.
