Chairperson, members, officers and employees of Authority and Appellate Authority to be public servants. – The Chairperson, every member of the Authority and of the Appellate Authority, officer or any other employee of the Authority and of the Appellate Authority shall, when acting or purporting to act in pursuance of any of the provision of this Act be deemed to be a public servant within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code [Central Act XLV of 1860].
