Constitution of District Police Complaints Authority

Constitution of District Police Complaints Authority. –(1) The Government shall, by notification, constitute a District Police Complaints Authority for each District or Commissionerate. (2) The District Police Complaints Authority shall have as its Chairperson the District Collector/District Magistrate. The Superintendent of Police and the Additional Superintendent of Police shall be the members of the District Police Complaints Authority. In the case of Commissionerates, other than Chennai, the Superintendent of Police of the District and the Deputy Commissioner of the Commissionerate shall be the members. In the case of Commissionerate of Chennai, the District Collector and the Commissioner of Police shall be the members.
