All casual T1acancies among the members (other than ex-oflicio members) Fillingofcasua of a ~ y authority or otlier body oi'the University shall be filled as soon as conveniently vacancies- may be, by the person or body, who or which, nomillatea or elected the member I whose place has become vacan! and the person nominated or elected to a casual vdcancy shall be a member of such authority or body for the residue of ,yhe term for which tile person whose place he fills would have been a member: Provided that vacancies ar~sing by efflux of time among elected members of any authority or otlxr Lady of the University may be fi led at elections which may be fixed by the Vice-Chancellor to take plat? on such days not earlier than two month from the date on which the vacancies arise, as he things fit : Provided Surther that no casual vacancy shall be filled if such vacancy occurs within six months before the date of the expiry of the term of the members of any authority or other body of the University.
