(1) No persons shall be ac~mitted to a course of study in the University Univer J y for rrdmnslb, to the examinations for degrees, titles, or diplomas of the University courses. L . , I ~ ~ ~ he- - (i)'has passed the examination prescr~bed therefor ; and (ii) fulfils such other conditions as nlay be prescribed by the University. (2) Every candidatr; for a University examination shall, unless exempted from the provisions of this sub-section by a special order of the Syndicate made or the recommendation of the Standing Committee on Academic Affairs, be enrolled as a member of a University college or laboratory or of an affiiliated or approved college. Any such exemption ma:. be made subject to such cor.diti01.s as the Syndi- cate may think flt. (3) Students exempted from the provisions of sub-section (2) and students admitted, in acaordance with the conditions prescribed, to courses of study other than courses cf study for a degree shall be non-collegiate students of the University . ~dmiaionto
