Subject to the provisions of this Act, and the statutes, the Ord-. ordinances may provide for :!I1 or any of the follouing matters, namely :- (i) the admission of students to the University and its approved or affiliated colleges and the levy of fses in University colleges and I~,bor~tories ; (ii) tllecourses of study leading to nll dsgrees, titles, diplomas and other academ~o distinctions of the University ; (iii) the conditions ol residence of students of the Univr~rsity and tho levy of fees for residence in hostelc< maintained by the 'liniversity ; (iv) the conditions of recognition of hostels not m~intained by the Universityj (v) tne conditions under which the students shall bs admitted to tha ooarw of study leading to degrees, titles, diplomas and other academic distinctions of the University ; (vi) tho conduct of examinations of the University and the conditions on which stucl~~ltj shall be admitted to such examinations ; (vii) the manner in which exemption relating to the admission of students to examinations may be given ; (viii) the conditions and mode of appointment and duties of examining bodies and examiners ;] I (ix) the maintenanca of discipline among the students of tht. University ; (x) the fees to be charged for courses of study, resssrch, expsrimznt and practical training and for admissions to the exarninstiozs fnr d9gre33, ti;les, diplonl3.s and other asade,nic distinctions of the Un;versity ; (uii) the conditions subjeat to which persons who may hereafter be permanen- tly employed may be recognised as qualified to eive instri!ction in aflliated an$ apvrqveri colleges and hostels ; and * , -- - - (xlil) any other matter which by this Act or the statutes is required to be or may b? prescr:ted by 'he otdinances.
