Cessation of office as President and Vice-President.- The President or Vice- President shall cease to hold office as such- (a) in the case of the President, on his becoming disqualified for holding the office or on his removal from office or on the expiry of his term of office or on his otherwise ceasing to be a President; (b) in the case of the Vice-President, 1[on his becoming disqualified for holding the office or on his removal from office or] on the expiry of his term of office as a member or on his otherwise ceasing to be a member.
