(a) Council ' means ' th& '[Tamil Nadue Nurses EI and Midwives Council] established under this Act '. i i (b) ' Dhai ' means ' an u41ltrained woman prac- tising the profession of midwifay '. (c) ' Nurse ' includes a male nurse. 1 (d) Prescribed ' means ' prescribed by rules or by-laws made under this Act '. I ! (4) 4n outgoing member of the Co~rncii shall be eligible for re-cleclion or re-nomination. (5) The powers of the Council may be exercised notwithstanding any ~acancy in the Courcil.
