(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in sections 21, 24 and 28, no person who had held office as a member for a total period of six years in any one or more of the following authorities of the University, namely:— (i) the General Council; (ii) the Executive Council; and (iii) the Academic Council; shall be eligible for election or nomination to the any of the said three authorities. (2) Nothing in sub-section (1) shall apply to the ex-officio members referred to in sections 21, 24 and 28.
