(1) There shall be constituted a Planning Board of the University which shall advice generally on the planning and development of the University and keep under review the standard of education and research in the University. (2) The Planning Board shall consist of the following members, namely:- (i) the Vice-Chancellor, who shall be the ex-officio Chairman of the Board; and (ii) not more than eight persons of high academic standing. (3) The members of the Planning Board shall be appointed by the Chancellor and shall hold office for such period as he may determine. The Controller of the examinations Authorities of Universities The Planning Board 23 (4) The Planning Board shall, in addition to all other powers vested in it by this Act, have the right to advice the Syndicate and the Standing Committee on Academic Affairs on any academic matter.
