Constitution and functions of Faculties. — (1) The University shall include Faculties of Arts, Science, Law, Medicine, Engineering, Technology, Teaching, Agriculture, Commerce, Indian and other languages, Indian System of Medicine, Veterinary Science, Fine Arts, and such other Faculties as may be prescribed by the statutes. (2) Each Faculty shall comprise such departments of teaching as may be prescribed by the ordinances. (3) The constitution and functions of the Faculties shall in all other respects be such as may be prescribed by the regulations: Provided that not less than three-fourths of the total number of members of every Faculty shall be members of the Academic Council. 34 (4) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (3), the Academic Council may, on the recommendation of the Syndicate, appoint any teacher of the University as a member of a Faculty.
