The Pro-Chancellor — (1) The Minister in-charge of the portfolio of education in the 2[State of Tamil Nadu] shall be the Pro-Chancellor of the University. (2) In the absence of the Chancellor, or during the Chancellor's inability to act, the Pro-Chancellor shall exercise all the powers of the Chancellor.
