The Vice-Chancellor shall of University have power Staff (1) to appoint such advisory committees as he may think fit, and (2) to appoint such clerical and menial staff as may be necessary subject to the sanction of the Chancellor. THE MADRAS UNIVERSITY ACT, 1923 77
