As from the date on which Section 3 and this section are brought into operation the Chancellor shall cease to exercise his functions under any Act or Acts heretofore in force, and the Vice-Chancellor and all Fellows and Honorary Fellows of the University of Madras as constituted and incorporated by any Act or Acts heretofore in force shall cease to be the Vice- Chancellor, Fellows and Honorary Fellows of the University respectively.
