(1) A person appointed as Ombudsman shall hold office for a term of three years from the date on which he/she enters upon his/her office: Provided that,— (a) the person appointed as Ombudsman may, at any time by writing under his/her hand addressed to the Governor, resign his/her office; (b) the person appointed as Ombudsman may be removed from his/her office in the manner specified in section 5; and (c) the person appointed as Ombudsman shall retire from office if, during the term of his/her office, he/she completes the age of seventy years.
