Subject to the provisions of section 11, on and from the date on which an Authority is constituted under section 3, the Government may direct that any functions exercisable by the local authority within the Industrial Township Area shall be transferred and performed by the Authority under the local body Act which is applicable on the said date, in relation to such Industrial Township Area, which shall cease to apply to the said Industrial Township Area.
