(1) There shall be constituted a Planning Boar which shall advice generally on the planning and development of the University and review the standard of education and research in the University. (2) The Planning Board shall consist of the following members, namely:- (a) The Vice-Chancellor who shall be the ex-officio Chairman of the Planning Board, and (b) Not more than eight persons of high academic standing nominated by the Syndicate. (3) The Planning Board shall, in addition to all other powers vested in it by this Act, have the right to advise the Syndicate and the Academic Senate on any academic matter. (4) The term of office of the nominated members of the Planning Board shall be three years and they are eligible for re-nomination after the expiry of their terms of office.
