Power to remove difficulties.- If any difficulty arises in giving effect in the provisions of this Act, the Government may, as occasion may require, by order, do anything which appeals to them necessary for the purpose of removing the difficulty. A copy of every order passed under this section shall be laid before each House of the Legislature. *19. Act not to apply to lands owned by Central Government, State Governments, etc.- Nothing contained in this Act shall apply to any land owned or taken on lease by :- (i) the Central Government or any State Government or any local authority; or (ii) any company or corporation owned or controlled by the Central Government or any State Government; or (iii) any University constituted by any law. ____________________________________________________________________ *See Table of Amendments
